Mission

Our mission here at the UC Davis CalSpace Center of Excellence is to:

• Foster scientific advances in core technologies and environmental applications
• Improve education & outreach in space technology and related applications
• Increase transfer of technology to California Industry
• Support campus-wide geospatial research
• Support multi-campus research

Some of the resources that are available to UC Davis students and faculty to assist in their research include:

• Consulting and advising on remote sensing issues: data access, data analysis, analysis methods
• Tutorials and short courses
• Image processing software
• GIS software
• GPS equipment
• Field spectrometers
• NBS calibration panels
• Computer workstations: approximately 120-600GB, 14TB On-line Storage
